I still think players of deleted teams should stay as free agents until they get signed or turn 32 then they might call it a day and retire. Then when they get bid on a 3 day countdown starts. Because almost everyone would be picked up eventually. Free agents should then get training experience at 50% the base rate even across all stats.

I also think then we could cut the random generated free agents out of the game totally at that point.

Matthueycamo wrote:@Speedy. I also have had a period where I kept refreshing my team with a squad of 11-12 and that worked ok too for what I was trying to do. You like everybody else know what the limit is for squad size so picking a strategy that is hard to do is not a reason to just bump up the limit and make it easier. I don't think forum loans are a problem and if anything loans should become an official feature of the game. The changes being made for a while have as far as I have understood not been to discourage rebuilds but to make it easier to sustain a team competitively. This is being done in a number of ways that don't allow big teams to just hover up all the talent which is what just expanding the squad limit would do. Such squad limit increases before FIS and perhaps even more after would just make it harder for smaller teams to get talent and make it more uncompetitive. Currently big teams can pay more for players to get the best but the squad limit puts a check on how much of an effect this buying power can have.

This. True.

I'd like to suggest another thing if I may:
I see there is the "nationality" filter in th tradelist..useful for managers who want many players of the same nationality, etc. So I was thinking that it would be nice to have also the "male/female" filter in the tradelist for those managers who pay attention to the male/female balance of the team roster.

Hum, i'm not sure I approve of that. Just seems an outdated idea to sort by gender when players are supposed to be equal.

yes indeed...they're equal...but I should say the same with nationality, then. They're just details that actually don't really matter but can be useful if someone pay attention on those things with his team roster for some reasons.

No because we only have one league right now so to get people able to have a certain nationality teams they need to create them themselves since the majority of the players made are British. If there are enough players to add more national leagues ever then such a feature becomes less needed as people can make teams in a nation they wish. It helps allow people simulate a team from a nation outside Britain when there is only the British league.

What she means is that both nationality and gender are basically "aesthetic" details, they have no real purpose in the gameplay but still people can feel more oriented to buying players of certain nationality or gender and be able to arrange the players in the tradelist according to their gender to make it easier to find them.

And before anyone says anything about the nations cups it isnt part of the gameplay really, its a nice event but our ability to affect the outcome is very limited and indirect to say that is part of the gameplay.

exactly,that's what I meant.
PS: the Washington Eaglebombs have usa players. Maybe thanks to the nationality filter? I don't know.

I think sorting players by gender would be a nice touch. TBH I think that every possible search filter can be helpful :D

Would there be any chance of setting up a second optional league,
like say, i was thinking of an under 21's league where maybe you can opt into it if you have at least 7 under 21 year old players at the start of each season?
