Lumberjack Journey Begins

Lincoln has a new Quidditch club. As of June 3rd, Lincoln Lumberjack Quidditch Club began operations and entered the Quidditch Championship.

Owner and Manager Zach H. wasted no time and immediately signed 19 year old English Chaser, Ida Breese as well as Beater Conor Brennan. Over the last two match days, the Jacks have played four friendly matches against Lowestoft Incendio and Newcastle Ragnel. Although losing all four matchups, the Lumberjacks proved a challenge to the more established teams.

Finally, the Jacks have a Quidditch Championship match tomorrow. Lincoln goes on the road to play Kidderminster Harriers in Harrier's Home. Despite the Harrier's being slightly more established, the Lumberjacks are favorites to win after acquiring Breese and Brennan.

Breese-ing through Match day

Captain Ida Breese leads the Jacks to four straight wins on Match days 5 and 6. Breese's 310 goals so far this season have been instrumental in the convincing victories over the BroomEmperators, Internationals, Mifflins, and Falcons. No games over these two match days have been within snitch range making newly loaned seeker, Megan Donavan's, job easy. Donavan has been dominant since joining the Jacks, winning a league best 35 duels.

The first ten games in the Iron division for the Lumberjacks have met expectations. But, the last four games have been huge for the Jacks. If they continue to build momentum, they will quickly rise in the League table. This week, the Jacks have two road matches against the Kiwis and GygesQC.

Donovan Does it Again!

9 straight wins. The Lumberjacks took down #2 ranked Widowmakers in a snitch range thriller 220-200. The match was the shortest in franchise history at one hour 40 minutes. Donovan had a clutch catch immediately after winning the duel against Widowmaker seeker, Paul Heinz. While the second game in the double header ended the streak losing 730-310, the current swing has taken the Jacks from 2-4 and 9th place to 11-5 in 6th. Next matchday, the Jacks take on the Rubber_Duckies and Silents to try to get started on another streak.
