League: Oak Division 6
Final Position: 3rd
Key player: Philomena Devlin [ENG B 50, age 21]
Fan favourite: Miguel Díaz [BRA S 41, age 21]

Summary
After an incredible debut season in the world of professional quidditch, the Bristol Badgers finished 3rd in the Oak Division 6 - climbing to the Iron League next season by default. However the club's passionate fanbase - already some 4,700 strong - are far from disappointed. "No one expected the club to do this well," exclaimed one avid fan, "so the spirits around The Den are as high as ever!" Inside sources are already claiming that manager Speedy is intending to push hard for a top-half finish next season, with many bookmakers agreeing that the Badgers will be there or thereabouts if they can maintain their current form.

Highlights

Matchday 09: Beat the Barry Doges, knocking them from their top spot in the league.
Matchday 10: Crushed by the Cambridge Queens Chasers as the York Monks rapidly gain ground in the table.

Matchday 20: The Badgers move back up to 3rd in the league, overtaking the Barry Doges.
Matchday 25: Complete the stadium expansion project, with The Den now able to host 4,710 fans at a time.
Matchday 30: Finished the season behind the Queens Chasers and the (unbeaten) Monks.

Stadium: The Den - 7,660 seats
League: Iron League 1
Final Position: 3rd
Key player: Philomena Devlin [ENG B 57, age 22]
Fan favourite: Adam Wallace [ENG C 52, age 21]

Summary
Despite entering the Iron League 1 by default, the Bristol Badgers were a team to be reckoned with this season, remaining in the top 5 from Matchday 3 onwards. Undoubtedly, the highlight of the season was the 10-day unbeaten streak in the final third of the season, which culminated in a hard-fought promotion into the Steel League - as they beat the 2nd-placed Newcastle Huskies on Matchday 30 - passing the Aberdeen Dragonriders, who lost narrowly to the Kettering Antlers!

Highlights
Matchday 03: Move up to 5th in the league, despite losing to the Kettering Antlers.
Matchday 15: Beat the Huskies on the 4th day of an unbeaten run.
Matchday 20: The unbeaten run ends on its 9th day, as the Dudley Fatties beat the Badgers.
Matchday 29: Draw level on wins with the 3rd-placed Dragonriders, though behind them by some way on goal difference.
Matchday 30: Finished the season behind the Antlers and the Huskies, as The Den is expanded to 7,660 seats.

ImageSeason 22 Overview
Stadium: The Den - 7,660 seats
League: Steel Division 2
Final Position: 10th
Key player: Simone Garci [ESP C 58, age 25]
Fan favourite: Adam Wallace [ENG C 58, age 22]

Summary
After a difficult season in which the Badgers did not finish in the top half - for the first time since their creation - the fan clubs breathed a collective sigh of relief as the team rounded out their season with a pair of victories, firmly cementing themselves in 10th - well outside of the relegation zone. Although the sale of Philomena Devlin was met with criticism from the fan base, the majority conceded that Speedy had done well to bring in almost 16,000G for the player - which went towards the club's facilities and hot prospect, Miriam Probert.

Highlights
Matchday 05: The Badgers lose twice in one day, to the Blackburn Qwikdraw and the Bangor Gruffaloes.
Matchday 15: A 10-game losing streak finally ends after the Badgers beat the York Monks.
Matchday 25: Despite beating the Aberdeen Dragonriders in the previous 3 encounters, the Badgers are unable to get a 4th win.
Matchday 28: The Badgers beat the Cambridge Charmers and the Bangor Gruffaloes, despite being below both teams in the league.
Matchday 30: Finished the season well away from the relegation zone with a pair of victories on the final matchday.

League: Steel Division 2
Final Position: 4th
Key player: Simone Garci [ESP C 63, age 26]
Fan favourite: Cesar Padilla [MEX B 61, age 23]

Summary
Having avoided relegation from the Steel Division #2 last season, the Badgers stepped it up a notch with a memorable push for promotion into the Bronze Division. Although they failed to reach the top 3 spots in the league, resignations of higher-placed teams allowed the Badgers to move up a division by default. Fans are said to be delighted, one claiming "a default promotion is still a promotion!"

Highlights
Matchday 05: A 7-game winning streak ends abruptly at the hands of the unbeaten Newcastle Blackhearts.
Matchday 12: A win against the Aberdeen Dragonriders and a loss to the Blackhearts see the Badgers retain 3rd.
Matchday 18: The London Hornets end a Badgers 6-game winning streak, winning 430-390.
Matchday 23: The York Monks claim their 3rd victory over the Badgers as the two teams battle for 3rd.
Matchday 30: The Badgers finish the season with 5 wins in 3 days; achieving 44 wins and 16 losses [4th in the league].

Stadium: The Den - 12,000 seats
League: Bronze League 1
Final Position: 8th
Key player: Adam Wallace [ENG C 69, age 24]
Fan favourite: Cesar Padilla [MEX B 66, age 24]

Summary
A distinctly average season for the Badgers saw them grab a narrow top-half finish. Although there was nothing to get excited about in terms of their final position, fans enjoyed seeing the players grow and are confident that in the coming seasons, a push for the Silver League above will be inevitable. For a second consecutive season, manager Speedy opted to neither buy nor sell a single player, although he has not ruled out the possibility for the future - should the right offer surface. For now, fans are keen to continue backing his efforts, and the team looks content to play attractive and exciting Quidditch - with the prospect of promotion sitting on the horizon for now.

Highlights
Matchday 01: A pair of wins against the London Hornets and the Newcastle Huskies sees the Badgers off to a great start!
Matchday 03: Three losses in two days, however, bring the Badgers crashing back down to Earth.
Matchday 07: Two wins in one day - against the Southampton Smellies and the Manchester Owlwings - end the run of poor form.
Matchday 16: Two strong wins, against the Hornets and the Huskies again, allow the team to scramble slightly further from relegation pressure.
Matchday 28: Big wins against the Swindon Wibblywobblys (2170-1740) and the Oxford Occultists (550-370) give fans hope for the coming season.
Matchday 30: The Badgers end the season in 8th place, with 29 wins and 31 losses.

League: Bronze League 1
Final Position: 5th
Key player: Adam Wallace [ENG C 73, age 25]
Fan favourite: Norris Ferguson [IRE K 70, age 32]

Summary
A strong season for the Badgers ultimately ended in disappointment as the team dropped to 5th only two matchdays from the end of the season. Although 4th would not have resulted in a promotion, it was with some resignation that the fans looked to yet another season in the Bronze League #1. Despite the disappointing end to the season, the fans had a lot to be excited about and many pundits are already tipping the squad for a promotion in the coming year. Fans were especially pleased with new signing, Norris Ferguson, who was a force to be reckoned with between the hoops!

Highlights
Matchday 05: Ten games in and the Badgers find themselves high in the table, with only 3 losses!
Matchday 18: The Badgers lose to the Wolverhampton Wulfrunians, ending a run of 6 wins.
Matchday 22: Both games end in a loss, versus the Dundee Mifflins and the Coventry Cavaliers.
Matchday 27: A win against the Cardiff Buzzards adds a ninth game to the winning streak!
Matchday 29: A loss to the Mifflins causes the Badgers to drop down the league to 5th place.

Fan favourite: Norris Ferguson [IRE K 70, age 33]

Summary
A great season for the Badgers saw them remain in the top 2 all season, eventually taking the title on the final day! The extra funds from the new stadium gave the club some freedom in the market, which they took advantage of by signing eight players! This strengthening has given the team confidence for their upcoming season in the Silver League.

Highlights
Matchday 06: Despite winning eleven of their first twelve games, the Badgers drop to 2nd after a defeat by the Cavaliers.
Matchday 07: Capitalising on this dip in form, the Cannock Canoes beat the Badgers, though they remain in 2nd.
Matchday 14: The Badgers go on a magnificent run of form, beating both the Canoes and the Cavaliers in one day!
Matchday 22: The run of form is ended by the Canoes, after the Badgers finish 29 consecutive games unbeaten!
Matchday 26: Defeat to the Aberdeensnipers and the Bury Shakers allow the chasing pack to close the gap on 1st.
Matchday 29: A second double defeat - to the Canoes and the Cavaliers - allow the latter to take 1st place!

League: Silver League
Final Position: 8th
Key player: Cesar Padilla [MEX B 78, age 27]
Fan favourite: Angel Velazco [ESP C 74, age 23]

Summary
A decent first season in the Silver League saw the Bristol Badgers finish in the middle of the pack, having hovered between 7th and 8th for most of the season. A bizarre mid-season managerial decision by Speedy to trade all the non-Spanish players for Spanish players resulted in a significantly changed squad which looks to peak in the coming seasons. The conversion to Keeper of Chaser Adan Gomez also gave the team options as the young star did well between the hoops. As the squad continues to gel, it looks as though next season will be one with much more to be pleased about for the fans around The Den.

Highlights
Matchday 02: Wins against the Newcastle Blackhearts and the Milton Keynes Goldlions push the Badgers up to 4th.
Matchday 09: A five-game winning streak is ended by the Bangor Mildly-Damaged Brooms, leaving the Badgers in 3rd place!
Matchday 17: Seven losses in four days spell disaster for the Badgers as they slide down to 8th in the table.
Matchday 21: Eight wins in the subsequent four days are not enough to reclaim the lost ground, though they do move up one place, into 7th.
Matchday 28: Eleven losses in fourteen games seal the team's fate, as they drop to 10th with 8th place the highest they can hope for.
Matchday 30: The team do just enough to secure 8th in the table, with hopes that next season goes more smoothly.

Key player: Raquel Salcido [ESP B 78, age 30]

Summary
Despite doing better in the Silver League than in previous seasons, the Badgers were unable to improve on their 8th-place finish, as they look forward to a third season in the third tier. Fans are hopeful, however, after the club finished first in Bronze League #2 despite two seasons without a promotion. Although the heavily-Spanish roster will have to fight hard for it, many fans are already voicing expectations of a promotion into Gold League in their upcoming 10th season as a club!

Highlights
Matchday 04: Six wins and two losses push the Badgers into 3rd place.
Matchday 14: Despite slipping to 6th, a pair of wins push the team into 5th.
