(In the Fireball Arena)

"Gilbert Ross spots the snitch! Gilbert and Rita go head-to-head, and Gilbert comes out ahead!Gilbert gets closer the snitch!
Gilbert catches the snitch! The game ends 330:500!"

"YESSSSS" screamed Gilbert Ross

The team came to Gilbert, and all the 7 players shared the same joy. Captain Hilda Ford picked the snitch with so much strength, she almost destroyed the little golden ball.

The team was leaving the Fireball Arena pitch (Biscione stadium) to the locker rooms when Hilda Ford voice arose:

"Great! 2 important victories this week, now we need to know Devils and Phoenixes results!"

Nadia Curry waited for the team to reach the ground and reply:

"Good victory boys and girls! Hokey is checking our opponents results."

The team entered in the locker rooms, Dario was outside talking with Olin Brice, their future player.

"Hey Olin! Great game you´ve made! We have high expectations about your future performances!"

"My goal is to overcome my self in Plymouth and be selected for the national team sir" said Olin

"That´s the spirit.I need to go kid! We´re waiting for the opponents results, cya next season", Dario smiled and left.

The president open the locker room doors, and spoke in an enthusiastically way to the players;

"Nicely done guys!!! Don´t worry too much about celebrating the title today, we´re playing a top quality
quidditch, it only depend of us!"

some time passed...

"Hokey is taking a lot of time, let´s go to Plymouth", said Keri Drummond.

"Dario, let´s wait in our stadium?", asked Nadia

"Yes, we´re not doing here anything! Probably the teams are still playing their games, Hokey always have a reason to be late", stated Dario

So all the team went to their portkey, and in an instance they arrive to the Catchers Headquarters. But when they landed in their home locker room something was not right...

"What´s that sound?" inquire Alton

All the stadium was shaking itself, the team could hear screams from the pitch.

"Oh gosh, is this another goblins invasion? I don´t have my wand with me" said a frightened Britney

"Don´t be ridiculous Britney" joked Gilbert Ross.

"Humm... i know what this sound is, it´s our people guys!" , said Nadia Curry

Suddenly, Hokey aparated! She was out of breath.

"Sorry the delay my master...
The game ended 30 minutes ago, but Kidderminster Kiddymincers coach intercepts me, and took me a lot of time to get rid of him!

Sir,Portsmouth Phoenixes had lost against Manchester Flutterby, we´re officially the new Honor league champions!"

Plymouth Catchers HONOR LEAGUE CHAMPIONS!

And all the buzz in the stadium was explained! Players dropping tears of joy, Keri Drummond lift Hokey with his big arms!!

Dario hug Nadia,Imogene,Kent,Nina and Damon, the players that were with him since the beggining!

"We´ve made it!!!!! Our dream came true!!"

The players and the staff run out of the locker room, the sound was getting clear, the crowd was yelling:

"CATCHERS ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!!!CATCHERS ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!!"

As they approximate the tunnel, the yelling was more and more notorious.

The players picked some training brooms that were near the tunnel and went to the pitch doing a spectacular
entrance with green firecrackers and their typical giant ship!! The public was in ecstasy.

Dario and his staff enter in the field waving to the crowd.

"Master, quidditch association (QA) members are in the cabins, for the trophy cerimony", told Hokey

So Dario and his staff rose the stadium until the last floors where the QA members were with a golden and shiny trophy. :Honour1st:

The players stopped their show-off celebration and went to the top of the stadium to receive their medals. Hilda Ford was the last, she grab Imogene Boyde hands and the two lifted the trophy to the supporters! The stadium went all downstairs!!

After a dramatic last year loss! A well deserved victory for the Catchers! All the hard working and dedication being compensated in this season. 13th seasons after Dario created a quidditch team in Plymouth, with the help of his staff, and his loyal house-elf Hokey, he accomplish his dream of reaching Honor League and winning it. The 1st generation ends in the best way possible!

Finally the 1st is updated.
All the legends added and a new section was added in the hall of fame - the club icons

S29 overview

Catchers made a 11th place, so far the worst season in honor. The team is still not competitive enough to fight for something more ambitious, but there´s clear signs that their performance will have tendency to grow in the further seasons. The only doubt is how much more seasons can Kent Davidson play? He´s already 33 years old, the Catchers are hoping that he still can join them in the next world cup, but the physical conditions of a player in so advanced age are always unknown. Only in the next season after a medical evaluation, the Catchers will be ready to confirm or not the presence of Kent Davidson in the next CWC.
Beyond this situation, Kent is extremely motivated and only problems of physical order wouldn´t let him perform in the CWC. The player was awarded together with Damon Quinn as a "club icon", Damon is performing his last quidditch as a professional player in the Belfast Knockslow
More news will come shortly.

This season was marked with the handover of the best player award from Kent Davidson to Olin Brice, the strong beater has been winning more notoriety in the team season by season, and he´s nowadays the most influential player in the pitch. His performances at the Watercraft have been praised by the Quidditch community, leading to a call to Wales National Team and a nomination to the 1st Golden Broom Awards - a ceremony that awards the best players and managers of the season. Re: Plymouth Catchers Insider!

Postby DarioDiConca » Sun Apr 19, 2015 3:49 pm

Hello, hello, this is Aaron Ross for a new exciting Plymouth Catchers insider, today i´m particularly happy because it´s a nice and calm Sunday with some clouds but with the sun shining, i´ve nothing more to do so i´ll report the last news from our favorite team :!:

S31 broom awards

 Kent Davidson and Harley Shaw were once again nominated for their positions award, the novelty was the talented seeker Yvonne Mclaren. About the winners, there weren´t big surprises, Gilbert Ross , Mona Duffy and Winifred Hamilton making double, winning again the award for best seeker, beater and chaser respectively. The honor league champions Dundee Mifflins were the big winners of the night, collecting 2 more awards, Eric Shred for best manager, and Elbert Middleton for best keeper. A new category was also implemented to reward the young talents, Daphne Reynolds from the Portsmouth Phoenixes was the winner of this category the best U-21 player, that will be reformulated in the next edition covering players under 23 years old. Once again, all rewarded players are English, this time including also the manager.

S32

 It´s CWC season, the best efforts will be made to win the competition. Plymouth Catchers are currently between the last 16 teams and today they´ve their toughest match against Grays Grey, a gold league team that is making a really good season, being placed in the 4th position and competing to be in honor league next season championship. About the 1st division, this season Nadia Curry launched several new and inexperienced players, currently placed in the 10th position, the team´s goal will be maintenance.

 Catchers´ captain Deirdre Hurst was loan for 1 season and half to Iron league team Redditch Redrum, with a option to extend the contract for an extra season, the Catchers are expecting to give match experience to their young player. Rumors say that Deirdre will also wear the captain armband in her new team.
Since the young player left, a new captain must be nominated, being the legend Kent Davidson called for the role, although he has been always a leader in the locker room and in the pitch, Kent never wear the captain armband. For sure a well deserved distinction, quidditch teams have the tendency to prefer charismatic players than the loyal ones to this position. Making his 17th season in Plymouth, Kent never played in another professional quidditch team, it´s not by accident that day after day fans desperate for his future retirement, a general concern is obvious when fans and associates prospect the future Catchers´team without Kent Davidson.

 With only 17 years old, Bella Dunne has become the youngest Catchers´ player to ever participate in an official match, already with 2 match appearances, it´s expected that Bella will return to the line-up this night in the championship match against the Bristol Bangtails.

Image
Well done Bella!

 This season the academy has presented 3 more talents.

Journal reformulation

 It has been a while!! As you´ve noticed, Plymouth Catchers insider has been inactive; actually i was petrified by a basilisk!! Fortunately, i looked to the monster through my special sunglasses and 2 months later i´m back to work on the journal with the help of my new assistant. The decision to have an assistant is due to the fact that i need to prevent similar situations to occur again, the club´s structure and fans has increased a lot since the 1st season in honor, the Catchers have become one of the most famous and followed teams in the world of quidditch. The journal has grown with the club´s success, so it needs a more organized structure to help me, the 1st step to this new organization is the hiring of my new assistant, a famous character in this sport, that I hope it ll help to catch and sustain new followers.

So ladies and gentlemen, let me announce you my new assistant, my nephew Gilbert Ross, born in Plymouth, Catchers and Miffins hall-famer, 3 times in a row Golden broom winner for best seeker and 2 times honor league champion.

Season 32 overview

 Catchers reached the CWC final for the 2nd time in a row, but unfortunately once again they´ve lost the final, this time against the Cardiff Corgis. The team made an excellent tournament, beating the Nargles and the Jumbucks in the quarters and semi-finals respectively. In the championship, the Cacthers reached a solid 4th place.
Regarding moves and transfers, the team seems to have a new policy to train young players, loaning them to get experience in teams from lower leagues. Deirdre Hurst was in fact the 1st player to be loaned, having very good performances in the Redditch Redrum. The Plymouth Catchers´ youngsters have been rated as top quality and a new player was loaned, the 1st one from the academy. Bella Dunne, Irish keeper, one of the 1st spawns 100% produced in the Catchers Academy was loaned to the Manchester Gryphons. Bella is already in Catchers´ history, being the youngest Catchers player to play an official match (and an honor league one!), at the age of 17.

Golden Broom Awards

 About the final season ceremony, the Catchers were represented with 2 persons: Harley Shaw was nominated once again to the best keeper award, Dario Di Conca for best manager. Both winners in their categories, Harley was the keeper with best save % in the honor league, and helped his team to reach the CWC final, although Dario´s team didn´t win any trophy, still his fellow managers have decided to give him this award for the steady success. At the end of the ceremony, Dario thanked the recognition and reaffirmed his intentions to have a solid team for the next seasons to fight for the world cup and beat longevity records in honor league.

More news to come in the next days, specially the remaining season overviews.

 10th season in Honour league, podium was the goal, the team finished in the 3rd place! :Honour3rd:
