New teams have very few costs. No player contracts yet, no academy upkeep.
So yeah, if you can get a loan and put it towards stadium building - I say do it!
Being in debt only currently impacts the academy (parts deteriorate and delete themselves) so you have nothing to lose by being in the red.
Upgrade 2 or 3 sections at a time, ideally at a point where you have few home games coming up.

Yes, the "quote" button is a preview of the costs.

There is no exact number to add. Every player manages their club differently and it's part of the game to figure out when and what to do.

I just took out a 15 day loan for enough money to upgrade 3 sectors of my stadium to max seats. Thanks for all of your help everyone!

In the future, stick with 60 day loans. Even though it looks like it will cost more overall, your daily payment is much lower, which means that once you are earning the extra income from the stadium you can pay off the loan early (you can pay off the full loan amount faster than with a higher daily loan payment, simply because the lower daily payment means you save up faster). That will save you some money.

If you have a big loan and a high loan limit, then you should be refinancing the loan every day. After every matchday, pull a new 60 day loan to cover the entirety of the previous loan, and pay off the old loan. Since every day you will be pulling a smaller loan, your daily payment will go down every day instead of staying constant for the full loan.

Loan limit too low to refinance daily? No problem! Scope the tradelist for a cheap, old, avg 75+ player and buy him/her. A player of that caliber will seriously increase your loan limit, allowing you to refinance. However, since you don't know how much the new player will bump your loan limit, be careful with this strategy.

I'm sure I worked it out way back when I was getting loans. Pretty sure most if not all of the time 15 day loans were still the best value for my situation.

Oh I still refinanced 15 day loans if I could. But I worked out in the end that the interest on a 60 day loan even just for a week was more than running a 15 day loan to completion.

For example for 10K interest on a 15 day loan is 777G, Whilst it's over 8K for a 60 day. Meaning a week on a 60 day loan costs 952G. So unless you can pay it off inside 6 days it's more expensive. Refinancing gives you more time but refinancing a 15 day loan can also help that too. So most occasions 15 day loan is still the best.

And yes I did take a couple of 60 day ones before I realised this. Cost me a few hundred G which I am in dire need of right now.

But that's good stuff, savings will pile up if I ever need a loan on the BTs again.
