Letting youth staying in Academy vs Letting him play the friendlies

Sooo, does the Academy give any boost to youth players, regarding their stats development? I was wondering what is better for a 18 y.o. - letting him stay in Academy or giving a full contract only to let him play in Friendlies?

No bonus really, I think that the major difference would be that he would train with the main team regimen and not the youths regimen, so yeah if you plan to give him match experience then you should promote him without fear.

You don't have to give a full contract to play friendlies. So best is youth contract play friendlies. Though depends who else in the main squad needs training and what the skills the players has are V the training regime that is best for them.
