My Koerakoonlased made it to Round 3 which is surprising. So far they've beaten two Bronze teams that were quite a bit stronger on paper and now they have a decent shot at making it to Round 4.

Wow, that's super impressive that you guys avoided the drop. Joel and I very much had a line of thinking that a long painful drop is necessary. Not sure where the current iterations of your teams stand compared to a few months ago, maybe Cygnus is better for this question, but do you think your teams will have a harder time competing at the very top because your players didn't get 100% of the match experience that they could have?

I'm assuming you didn't play your players from age 18 and there was time where they were only playing friendlies. I'm now kicking myself for being absentee for so long...

My regens have had only friendlies, except for Nathaniel Patel (not technically my regen, but owned by me) who has been on loan with the Dynamo since M00 S36, getting four games per day.
He'll be the first young player to rotate into my main squads, but with Boivin's impending retirement, I imagine that McCulloch will be part of the Mifflins front line next season too.

Instead of a hard drop (as I have done with the Badgers), I wanted to try a different approach. My regens aren't quite as good as they might have been, but I have 5 with each squad who will one day be in the main team - which will save me a fortune in trades. That money can go on buying top talent from elsewhere, to fill the other two slots.

Very interesting alternate strategy. Look forward to seeing how it does!
